The steps, in order
Get your details and our WhatsApp open first
Before you touch the remote, open the WhatsApp message we sent when your plan went live. It carries the three values every step below asks for: the server URL with its http:// and port, your username and your password. Keep that chat open on your phone as you work, because if any screen stalls you can photograph it and we will answer with the fix rather than leaving you to guess. Nobody sets this up quicker than a subscriber who has both things in front of them from the start.
Turn on installs from unknown sources
Straight from the box, Fire OS refuses anything sourced from outside its own store, so this switch has to go on before anything else. Open Settings, pick My Fire TV, then Developer Options, and turn on Apps from Unknown Sources. Newer sticks keep that option hidden until an app calls for it, so if you cannot see it, press on and it surfaces later as Install unknown apps next to Downloader. Skip it and a step further down fails with no explanation, so this is the place to start.
Install the Downloader app
Head back to the home screen, open the search box and type Downloader. The correct one is bright orange and published by AFTVnews, so ignore any near-twins. Install it, run it once, and approve the storage request, otherwise the next step quietly fails. Downloader is only the delivery van here: it brings the player over and is never needed again.
Download and install IPTV Smarters
In Downloader, select the address bar and type the short link we sent in your WhatsApp chat, or the official Smarters download address. Press Go. When the download finishes the installer opens on its own; choose Install, then Done, then Delete to clear the leftover file off the stick. If Downloader says it cannot fetch the file, the address was almost certainly mistyped, so send us a screenshot and we will paste you a working mirror.
Sign in with your GofluxTV login
Newly installed players do not sit on the main row; look under Your Apps and Channels, near the foot of the home screen, which is where people assume the install failed. Open it, agree to the terms, and select Login with Xtream Codes API. Name the profile whatever you like, then key in the username, password and server address just as we sent them, http:// and port included. Press Add User and it starts pulling your channels and guide, quick after the first run.
Organize favorites and set the guide
Open Live TV and browse a category or two so you can see it is all there. Holding the select button on any channel adds it to Favorites, and spending five minutes building a row of the thirty or forty you actually watch is what makes a list this size livable night to night. While you are in Settings, turn on the option to show the guide over live TV so the schedule is one button away. If a channel stutters, switch the decoder to hardware in Player settings before anything else.
Play a channel and lock in the settings
Open a channel you know is busy, a live sports one if you can, and watch it for a minute. If it holds steady and looks sharp, you are done. If it softens or stutters, make sure you opened the HD copy rather than an SD one, and that Player settings is on the built-in player with hardware decoding. Getting this right once means you are not fiddling with it every evening.
Keep the stick lean so it runs smoothly
A Firestick with little free storage or a pile of open apps stutters, and IPTV playback gets whatever is left over. Remove apps you never use, and restart the stick now and then from Settings, My Fire TV, About, or by pulling the power for ten seconds. A stick that is kept lean holds a far steadier picture than a cluttered one, and it costs nothing to do.
If anything looks off, send us a screenshot
That is genuinely the last step. If the picture is missing, the login is refused, or a screen simply does not match what you read here, take a photo of the television or a screenshot on your phone and send it to us on WhatsApp. Nine times in ten we can name the fix from the image alone, and where we cannot we will arrange to complete the setup with you. You are never left staring at an error on your own.

When something is not right
Downloader says the file cannot be downloaded
This is nearly always a mistyped address, so re-enter it slowly and check every character, or ask us for the current mirror. If the address is right, the block is usually the unknown-sources toggle: confirm it is enabled for Downloader specifically, which on newer Fire OS is a separate permission from the global one.
Login is refused as invalid credentials
Almost always this is the server line rather than your subscription. Put http:// in front and the port on the end, like http://server:8080, and leave nothing trailing after the port. A pasted address often hides a space at the edge, so key it in by hand once, and if it still refuses, send us the screen.
Channels buffer in the evening
Start with hardware decoding, since flipping it is free. A stick on Wi-Fi a room or two from the router does better on a cheap Ethernet adapter, which ends it for good. If only one or two channels stumble while the rest are fine, that is upstream, so tell us which and we will check our end.
IPTV Smarters is missing from the home screen
The app installs under Your Apps and Channels, low on the home screen, not in the recent row, which is where people assume it failed. Scroll down to that row, highlight the icon, press the menu button and choose Move so it sits up front. If it is genuinely not listed anywhere, the install did not finish, so run the Downloader step again.

Does this work on the Fire TV Stick Lite?
Yes, the steps are the same because the Lite shares the Fire OS build. Its cap is 1080p output, though, so the 4K feeds you pay for will not actually reach the screen on one. For a main set the 4K or 4K Max is worth the little extra; on a spare bedroom television the Lite does fine.
Can I use one login on the Firestick and my phone?
Go ahead and put it on both, plus anything else you own. What the plan caps is simultaneous streams, not the number of installs, so on a single-stream plan both can be logged in while only one plays. If you want two playing together, drop us a message and we will point you at the plan that allows it.
What happens to my setup when the plan renews?
Nothing changes and nothing needs reinstalling. Your username, password and server URL stay the same across a renewal, so the app keeps working the moment we extend the account. If it ever shows an expired message just after you have paid, send us a screenshot and we will refresh it from our side within minutes.
