TiviMate EPG Says No Information or Will Not Load — How to Fix It

If TiviMate shows No Information across the guide, or the EPG simply will not load after an update, the cause is almost always the guide data rather than your subscription: an EPG source that was never added or has gone down, a guide still downloading, a time zone that shifts the listings out of view, or a cache left half-built when the app updated. Work through the fixes below in order.

Most likely causes

  • No EPG (XMLTV) source has been added to the playlist, so TiviMate has nothing to display
  • The EPG URL is set but the server is temporarily down or the link has changed
  • The guide is still downloading on the first load or after a reload, so cells read No Information for a few minutes
  • The device time zone or clock is wrong, which can push every programme past the edge of the visible guide or empty it
  • A cache left half-built after updating to a newer 5.3.x build, so the old guide never finishes rebuilding
  • Some channels are not mapped to EPG IDs, so those streams play but their rows stay blank

Fixes, in the order to try them

  1. Confirm an EPG source is actually set. In TiviMate open Settings, then Playlists, select your playlist and check the EPG (XMLTV) URL field. If it is empty, add the EPG link your provider gives you. With an Xtream Codes login TiviMate usually pulls the guide on its own, but a plain M3U often needs the XMLTV URL typed in by hand.

  2. Force a guide update. Go to Settings, then EPG, and choose to update the guide now; or reload the playlist from Settings, Playlists, select it, Reload. This fetches a fresh copy of the listings instead of waiting for the scheduled refresh.

  3. Set the correct time zone. Open the device system date and time settings, turn on automatic date, time and time zone, then reopen TiviMate. A clock that is hours out can move every programme past the edge of the visible guide, so it looks empty even when the data is there.

  4. Clear the cache after an update. If the guide stopped loading right after TiviMate updated, remove the playlist and add it again so the app rebuilds the EPG from scratch. On Firestick or Android TV you can also clear the app cache from the system Apps screen without losing your login.

  5. Give the first download time. A full XMLTV guide for a large channel list can take a few minutes to arrive, and cells read No Information until it finishes. Leave the app open on the guide screen for a few minutes on the first load rather than reloading over and over.

  6. Check that channels are mapped to EPG IDs. If only some channels are blank while the rest work, those channels are not matched to a guide ID. TiviMate matches most automatically; for the stragglers you can set the EPG source per channel or ask your provider which EPG ID belongs to that channel.

TiviMate EPG not loading FAQ

Why does TiviMate say No Information on every channel?

Usually because no EPG source is loaded yet or the guide is still downloading. Check that the EPG (XMLTV) URL is filled in for your playlist, force a guide update, and give a large guide a few minutes to finish on the first load.

Does TiviMate load the EPG automatically?

With an Xtream Codes login it often fetches the guide on its own. With a plain M3U playlist you usually have to add the XMLTV URL yourself in the playlist settings, otherwise the guide stays blank.

Did a TiviMate 5.3.2 or 5.3.3 update break the EPG?

Some users report the guide not loading right after updating. It is usually a half-rebuilt cache rather than a removed feature, so removing and re-adding the playlist to force a clean EPG rebuild normally clears it.

Why is my TiviMate guide empty when the channels play fine?

The streams and the guide are separate. Channels can play while the EPG is missing, still downloading, matched to the wrong IDs, or pushed off-screen by a wrong time zone. Check the EPG URL and the device clock first.
